SCHOOL DISTRICT OF BUTTERNUT PHILOSOPHY
The Board of
      Education of the Butternut School District is committed to a
      philosophy of service to children. The primary objective of the
      school enterprise is to help each child develop into a mature
      individual, capable of becoming a contributing member of society.
      The Board believes that this objective can best be met through
      the development of a school program with the scope to encompass
      the intellectual, physical, civic, social, and aesthetic needs
      of children in a democratic society.  The Board of
      Education realizes that an effective public school program must
      be directed toward meeting both the common needs of all children
      and the unique needs of the individual child.  The Board of
      Education recognizes that the guardianship of the public education
      is a trust and an obligation-that the goals of the Board of Education
      are fundamentally the goals of democracy.

      of the Butternut School District is to provide a safe educational
      environment that inspires our students and prepares them for
      success in the everchanging world.
